On Sunday Sept. 1, Labor Day, we will hold our 12th Annual Seed Festival. It is Free for all participants, but donations are appreciated. Camping is available and Participants from a distance can arrive on Saturday to set up camp. It will be a celebration of the seed with threshing dances and lots of hands-on small scale seed harvesting, cleaning and handling techniques, and sharing general knowledge about seed growing and seed saving.

This year we are also holding an Ancestral Skills Gathering immediately before the Seed Festival from Aug 28 to Aug 31. People may come to one or both events. People coming from a distance can arrive on Tues. the 27th to set up camp. We’re asking for a donation of $100.00 ($25/day) to cover meals, facilities and camping for the Skills Gathering. We invite you to join and bring your skills and learn new ones. Possible skills will include Fire making, Flint knapping, Cordage making, Hide work, Willow structures, knife safety skills, techniques for snares, edible wild plants, etc. For those who can come and teach skills and/or help with setting up, preparing meals, etc. for the Skills Gathering there will be no charge. Saturday will be an open day for the general public with demonstrations and presentations and will be a time and place for barter and sale of goods and crafted items.
