9 am: attend Scottsbluff farmer’s market
OR after breakfast:
8:30 hike in Wild Cat Hills to look at area wild plants and speak about how wild plants are related to agricultural crops
12:30 lunch from the farm
1:30 swim in the pond Relax
3: pm Tour of the farm, continuing the theme about how wild plants relate to the development of vegetables
On your own for supper:
8:00-9:30 stay as long as you like: star gazing with Nathan who knows the sky like the back of his hand
SUNDAY, Sept 1, 2019:
8:00 am breakfast oat meal
9:00: comparing vegetable families in order to understand what is needed for vegetable seed growing.
12:30 lunch from the farm
1:30 swim in pond or break or rest or seed harvest
3:00 wet threshing
4:00 DANCING (threshing) ON THE SEED with local music
6:00 pot luck: bring a dish or help grill food from the farm
More music and dancing
8:00-9:00 Star Gazing: stay as long as you like
MONDAY SEPT 2, 2019
Watch milking 6:00 am
7:30 breakfast oatmeal
8:30- until noon learning about selecting biennial plants for seed, look at book display about seed and pick up some vegetable seed
