A hands-on intensive teaching the basics of overwintering whole plants and roots in harsh climates, crop planning, isolation, and population needs for seed production.
We emphasize the care and rearing of biennial seed crops; carrots, brassicas, beets, etc.
Arrive ready to plant!
This educational series is dedicated to farmers and gardeners seeking more information and practice on seed production.
All classes are at Meadowlark Hearth Farm in Scottsbluff, NE. Camping is available on the farm for all programs.
All donations go to the Living Environment Foundation.
